Everyone Had Umbrellas....

Except for us!!

Okay, so Bill and I are taking a class on Aristotle (Why Ari?? Cuz Bill wants to and I'm a fabulous wife! Can I get a woot woot?). We go once a week for an hour and a half. Before class we like to try out new restaurants. We haven't found one we're going back to, but we've tasted a lot of new foods. So this week we had dinner in Up-Town and then it started to sprinkle on the drive to class. By the time we parked, it was pouring down rain and we had a five minute jog to our classroom. At least I had my notebook to put over my head, so I wasn't completely soaked, but my arms and legs were dripping wet.

Unfortunately we showed up late for class and came in dripping and sloshing our way to our seats. I had to take my shoes off to dry out my feet, and for the next 15 minutes I felt rain water sliding down my legs. If we weren't conspicuous enough, I ended up with the loudest chair on earth. It made noise every time I breathed! As I finally began to dry off, I felt my clothes bit by bit unattach from my skin.

All this was pretty distracting, so I looked around at my surroundings and noticed that every single person had an umbrella with them. Hello, how did the two of us miss that there was going to be a downpour??

I am so jealous...a grown up class sounds like so much fun! I would get to use my brain again...it's been so long.

Didn't you kind of love the dash through the rain though? I have a policy with myself that whenever it's raining me & the kids have to get out in it...no waiting for it to stop...enjoy it while it comes down!

Don't forget umbrellas when you come to England, it's done nothing but rain here all summer (or so it seems), I'm going to try and carry out some pagan rituals to see if we get a few days of sun but I can't promise anything. Actually, don't bring umbrellas, not the best use of suitcase space, I'll get some in! Very impressed with the Aristotle class, I'll be testing you on him when I see you, I'll have to read up though all I know currently is that he was Greek and probably wore white robes and had a beard (they usually do).

I think Jim summed up my own knowledge of Aristotle as well! Very cool idea you two. and may i add that you are a good wife because i probably would have made rhett drop me off at the door and given him my notebook for him to run back through the rain in!

Amy! I just finished studying Aristotle and brought you into my discussion! In Aristotle’s book on Nicomachean Ethics -book VIII or IX -not sure but anyhow he writes about friendship and that you either want something or have something in common to be a friend -you were my example I used in my debate!

D, I hope it was because we have things in common! Must be after all these years...
